Happiness Matters

Learn to Excel in a World of Increasing Workloads, Stress & Negativity!

Winston Churchill, Britain’s prime minister during World War II, once described success as “the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm”. He might have been more than a little prescient because researchers have found that optimism plays a key role in achievement in life.

Thanks to more than a decade of groundbreaking research in the fields of positive psychology and neuroscience, we now know that happiness is the precursor to success. Turns out that happiness and optimism actually fuel performance.

Studies show that there are a multitude of personal benefits for happiness at work including faster promotions, more pay, greater creativity, better feedback and better health.  And more happiness with life as well!

In a world of increasing workloads, stress, and negativity, however, being happy at work has become somewhat more challenging for many people.

Happiness Matters provides the tools to create a more positive mindset at work.  Key concepts include:

  • How to rewire your brain to be more optimistic
  • Getting into the flow state
  • Why failure is part of the process
  • Social investment
  • Emotional contagion
  • Developing your right brain

In addition to the obvious benefits at work, there are additional fringe benefits to making the effort to be happier at work.   Compared with their less happy peers, happier people are more sociable and energetic, more charitable and co-operative, and better liked by others. They are more resilient in the face of hardship, have stronger immune systems, and are physically healthier.  Happy people even live longer.

This program will introduce to you a variety of scientifically proven strategies that you can immediately use to achieve a happier life. Pursuing happiness may require effort and commitment, but consider that this “happiness work” may be the most rewarding work you will ever do.

Louisa Nedkov demonstrated clearly, professionally and passionately that happiness really does matter.  Her combination of thoroughly researched statistics, personal experience and expert delivery had my group totally engaged, and her tips and techniques on how to develop and maintain a positive attitude can be embraced within any corporate culture.
